I love this time of year. The colors of the leaves on the trees are changing, and the air is fresh and crisp. Although, I could go without some of this crazy rain we’ve been having in our lovely Pacific Northwest. However, the good news is that I might just get my green grass back!It seems like a great time to pull your sweaters and why not put some of our old sweaters to a good use! This is a fun project –Inspiration Friday – Pumpkin Sweater!
I will admit, this is not an original idea of mine. As I have told you before in one of my earlier blog posts (10 Ways to Inspiration), I am a YOUTUBE junkie. So, YOUTUBE is where I got the inspiration for this week’s project.
This cute little Pumpkin Sweater is an inexpensive project to do and will look great as a decoration in your home or office! I have been doing most of my projects with using my Cricut Maker, but I decided this week I wanted to change it up a bit. The project requires no sewing skills and delivers darling results so, let’s give it a whirl.
Supply List
You start with the following supplies:
- Dollar Tree Pumpkin
- Dollar Tree Maple Leaves (50 pc)
- Old Sweater
- Scrap Ribbon
- Scrap Rope
- White Acrylic Paint
- Paint Brush
- Glue Gun
- Glue Sticks (for glue gun)
I finished this pumpkin in about an hour, using less than one sweater sleeve per pumpkin. The thing that takes the most time is letting the paint dry of course. But these cute little Pumpkin Sweaters are just the right project to add autumn colors inside!
