Have you tried Cricut Infusible Ink yet? I call it my game changer. The first project I did with the Infusible Ink was the Ceramic Coasters, and I loved them. Now let’s use the Infusible ink and make a Tote Bag. You are going to love this Inspiration Friday Project – Infusible Ink Tote Bag.

HOW TO USE CRICUT INFUSIBLE INK ON A TOTE BAG
In the video, I share step-by-step instructions, but in case the written directions might help, I include them below too.
HOW TO SETUP YOUR SVG DESIGN IN CRICUT DESIGN
- Click on the Link in My Resource for this cute puppy saying and picture idea.
- Customize it with your puppy picture or add an image from Design Space.
- Make sure you size the design. I have sized it to 8” wide.
- Press “Make it” in the top right-hand corner.
- Press “Mirror” this is VERY IMPORTANT! Flip or mirror your design so that it will appear the correct way on our finished bag.
- Press continue.
- Connect to your machine.
- Select Infusible Ink from the material list in Design Space.
HOW TO LOAD YOUR MAT
- Place your infusible ink transfer sheet onto your Standard Grip mat. The less you touch this sheet, the better.
- Cut out the design with your machine and weed away the transfer paper that we don’t need to reveal our design. Set this aside.
HOW TO USE YOUR CRICUT EASY PRESS2 WITH CRICUT INFUSIBLE INK TRANSFER SHEETS
- Let’s prep the tote bag.
- Place your EasyPress mat inside your tote bag.
- Place a piece of white 80lb cardstock on top of the mat INSIDE your bag. It helps to block any possible ink from leaking.
- Make sure your Easy Press is large enough to cover your entire design all at once.
- Determine your heat setting using Cricut Heat Guide
- Preheat your Easy Press 2 to 385° (or as directed on the EasyPress heat chart)
- Once it’s warmed up, you will need to preheat the bag. To do this, you need to lay the piece of butcher paper on top of the bag and press the paper on the bag for 15 seconds.
- Remove the butcher paper from the bag.
- Place the design onto the bag. The ink side of the design should be facing down. Double-check your weeding because anything on there is going to meld with the bag.
- Cover your design with butcher paper – make sure the butcher paper is larger than your design.
- Press with light pressure (one hand) for the appropriate amount of time.
- When done, lift straight up. Be careful not to slide the press.
- Slowly remove the pattern liner. Be careful it will be hot. If any sheet is still on your bag, use tweezers to remove it carefully.
You did it! You have a beautiful custom Infusible Ink Tote Bag ready for all your puppy toys and for whatever you want to fill it with!
