I love to change up my home decor with pillows. I had a blog post last year on making an Envelope Pillow Cover. If you want to make your Pillow Covers, check out my Envelope Pillow Cover post from last year. This week I want to show you how to Sublimate on Pillow Covers I bought on Amazon. The Inspiration for this project came when I was on vacation early this year.
There was a cute shop in Republic, Washington, and saw some fun Pillow Covers with Inspirational sayings. I knew that I could make some myself. After I left the store, I searched Sublimation Pillow blanks on Amazon and found lots of options. I decided on some 16×16 Pillow Covers with a hidden zipper because they would fit the pillows I had in my living room.
I have some fun DIY Sublimation pillows covers to show you today. My goal is to inspire you with this project that you will want to make some for yourself. This project gives me the opportunity to use my new Sublimation Printer and my new Heat Press. If you have been following my journey since I lost my craft room to a fire in March, I have been researching and replacing tools I lost in the fire. While I was researching, I created a couple of posts. The first one was “Sublimation Printer | What to Look for Before You Buy” and then “Heat Press | Which One is Right for You.” Check them out if you are in the market for either or both.
The sublimation print that I decided on was the Epson 7210 and I am using Cosmo Ink. The colors really Pops with the Cosmo Ink.
I decided on a 15×15 Heat Press by TUSY, and I love how it works!
Creating designs was so much fun. I had so many ideas for designs and sayings to put on my Pillow Covers. To design the Pillow Covers, I used Canva.com. It provides so many options, and the elements tab has lots of elements that you can add to your designs.
