You can learn how to make this project in a couple of different ways. If you want the easy way, check out my video tutorial below or follow these step-by-step instructions!
Step 1: Print Design
The first step is to print your design onto the sublimation paper. I like to print images that are amount 5 inches in width. That size fits great on the towels. Make sure the image is mirrored before printing, as it will be transferred onto the towel in reverse. I found my image on Etsy. Here is the link to TonisArtStudio. They have some great golf sayings.
Step 2: Cut Out Design
The image should be cut out and placed face-down on a towel while it is still folded. Then, using heat resistant tape you can secure the image in place so that when we unfold our towels to press the image will not move and we will have it right where we want it.
Step 3: Press Golf Towel
To avoid damaging your heat press, lay a piece of butcher paper on it before you unfold the towel and put in with image. You will press for 15 seconds at 385 degrees Fahrenheit (183 Celsius).
Step 3: Fold Golf Towel
Now that the image is successfully transferred to your golf towel, you can fold it up and press with heat. I like doing this for 10 seconds or so to give it a good crease for hanging.
Step 4 Add Grommet
Next, you need to add a grommet. This can be done with a grommet kit or a hole punch. If you are using a grommet kit, make sure to follow the instructions that come with it. If you are using a hole punch, make a small hole in the corner of the towel and use the punch to create a larger hole.
Step 5: Add Hardware
Finally, attach a clip or carabiner to the grommet to keep your towel handy while you play golf.
With these simple steps, you can create your personalized golf towels! Golfers of all levels will love using them on the green. Golfers everywhere will love these personalized golf towels. They make the perfect gift for any golfer. Whether you’re looking for a unique Father’s Day present, a birthday gift, or just something to treat yourself to, we know you won’t be disappointed with your custom golf towel. So what are you waiting for? Make some today.
