I’ll admit that I was a little hesitant to purchase this product at first. I had never used a vinyl silkscreen before, and I wasn’t sure if it would be worth the investment. But after doing some research and reading some reviews, I decided to give it a try. And I’m so glad that I did!
This kit is great! It comes with everything you need to get started, including detailed instructions. The vinyl is easy to work with and the results are beautiful. I’ve already made several custom designs and they’ve turned out great.

Let’s Get Started
So let’s get started and make our first product using my new We R Memory Keepers Vinyl Silkscreen Kit. I want to take you through each of the kit supplies and my first project. Let’s customize a canvas zipper bag. This project is beginner-friendly and can be done in about 30 minutes.

Instructions:
Step#1 Prep Workspace
Begin by prepping your work area. Cover your work surface with a self-healing mat or old towel. Set up your vinyl design on your cutting mat. If you are using the weeding tool that comes in the kit, now is a good time to set that aside as well.
Step #2 Cut Design
Cut out your design from the vinyl sheet using a cutting machine, load your design into the software and send it to cut. Remember to mirror your image before you cut it out.
Step #3 Weed Design
Once your design is cut, it’s time to weed the excess vinyl away from your design. When you are weeding your design make sure to do a reverse weed.
A reverse weed is a process of weeding away the excess vinyl from your design, starting from the outside in. This ensures that all of the tiny details in your design are accounted for and that you don’t accidentally weed away part of your design.
Step #4 Transfer Design
Now that your design is all weeded and ready to go, apply transfer tape to your weeded design and it’s time to transfer it to the silkscreen frame that came with your We R Memory Keepers Kit. Start by peeling off the backing paper from the vinyl sheet. Then place the sticky side of the vinyl down onto the silkscreen frame. Use your fingers or squeegee to smooth out any bubbles or wrinkles.
Step #5 Add Bag
Now it’s time to print! Place your blank canvas bag onto the bottom plate of the vinyl print press. Then align the screen above the bag and lower it down until it makes contact with the surface of the bag. Apply even pressure as you push down on the handle of the press to transfer your design onto the bag.
Step #6 Add Paint
Once your design is in place on the silkscreen frame, it’s time to add ink! Pour a small amount of ink onto the top corner of the screen. Then use the squeegee to spread the ink evenly across the screen. Be sure to go over the entire design so that all of the areas are covered with ink.
Step #7 Reveal Design
Once you’ve printed your design, lift the screen to reveal your newly printed bag! Set it aside to dry.
Step #8 Set Your Design
One last set to make your ink permanent you want to heat set ink by ironing with a heat shield or parchment paper between your design and the iron.
Step #9 Clean Your Screen
Don’t forget to clean your screen. Clean the screen immediately after use with soap ad cold water. After washing the vinyl let it dry and it is ready to use on your next project!
