There’s nothing like a great weekend spent with friends and family. It is always a plus when you get to throw in our annual visit to the Packwood Memorial Day Flea Market. I found lots of flea market treasures. What did you do over Memorial Day weekend? My husband and I spent the weekend with family and friends camping at Mayfield Lake Resort. We had lots of fun and laughs. There was dancing, boat rides and lots of good food with close friends and family.
Saturday morning, we got up bright and early and ventured to Packwood. If you ever have the opportunity to go to the Packwood Flea Market. It’s definitely an adventure. It reminds me of the flea markets you see on HGTV’s Flea Market Flip! As we drove there, I wondered what treasures I might find. Let me tell you the visit did not disappoint me.
Treasure #1
My first discovery of the day was from Fabrics on Wheels. Look at the beautiful colors and patterns of these fabrics pieces I purchased. One of my next projects is going to be making draw-string backpacks. I’ll be posting a tutorial on that soon.
Treasure #2
My next purchase, I am calling the “Find of the Day.” This little chair was just waiting to be picked up and up-cycled. I can’t wait to work on it. I can just picture a fresh coat of paint or some wood stain and a cute little cushion. Can’t you just picture this in a nursery, waiting for story time! I’ll make sure I posted a before and after picture when I finish bringing it back to life!
Treasurer #3
My next find were these cute little pails. I want to paint them and add a cute saying with some of the Rae Dunn fonts I found.
Treasurer #4
The next find was some of the stainless steel beer Koozies that I posted in my last blog. They only had three on hand. I wish they would’ve had more. I have not seen the black ones before. These will be fun to make some special gifts.
Just remember that every day is a blessing, so spend it with family and friends, who constantly make you smile and inspire you to do fun things! I hope you all had a great weekend like it did! Stay tuned for details on my projects that I create from my Flea Market treasures!
