Excited to get started on this project? Check out the video tutorial below or follow the step-by-step instructions! You choose how you want to learn to do this project! The video tutorial is excellent for those who want to see the project come together, and the step-by-step instructions are perfect for those who want a more detailed look at each component. Either way, you’ll be able to create this project with ease! So what are you waiting for? Let’s get started!
Step 1: Create Your Design
For this project, you will want to create two different layouts for your design: one for the sublimation paper and one for the Siser EasySubli HTV. The layout for the sublimation paper will be using Print Then Cut, and the layout for the EasySubli HTV will be using the basic cut. Design Space makes it easy to create both of these layouts, so you can start your project immediately.
Step 2: Print Your Design on Sublimation Paper
Once you have created your design, just send it to your sublimation printer, using the same process as you would for transferring to other sublimation blanks. For this, use your standard sublimation paper. Print your design. Make sure to mirror this image.
Step 3: Cut Your EasySubli Vinyl
After you’ve designed your image, it’s time to load your Cricut Mat with your EasySubli HTV. The EasySubli has a matte finish side and a glossy finish side. You want to place the shiny side down on your cutting mat and the matte side face-up. For this step, make sure NOT to mirror the image you design. After cutting, weed away the excess material. Your EasySubli HTV is now ready to be applied! Get excited because your EasySublidesign is about to look amazing!
Step 4: Press the EasySubli HTV
To apply EasySubli to your T-shirt, first, remove the backing of the EasySublivinyl.
Next, place the EasySubli on the T-shirt matte side-up, cover with butcher paper and press it at 365°F for 5 seconds at medium pressure. In this step, we are only taking down the EasySubli. Remove the butcher paper and move to the next step.
Step 5: Press Your Printed Transfer
Following the previous steps, you should now have a vinyl transfer on your shirt! The last thing you need to do is press the sublimation paper onto the EasySubli HTV. For this step, I used 400°F for 40 seconds. Make sure to refer to your sublimation paper for its recommended temperature and time settings. Carefully place the sublimation paper face down on top of the EasySubli HTV, secure it with heat-resistant tape, cover it with butcher paper, and press for 40 seconds.
Lift off the butcher paper and remove the heat transfer tape. Pull off the sublimation tape, and that’s it!
You’ve successfully transferred a design using EasySubli vinyl. Congratulations! Now that you know how to use this product, the sky is the limit for what you can create! Have fun and experiment with different designs, colors, and patterns.
