Hello Crafters! My name is Lisa, and I am a native of the Pacific Northwest and live in Washington State! I am a banker by day and a crafter whenever I get a chance. This is my journey to create a crafting blog to help inspire people to create. My “Happy Place” is my craft room. That room was 25 years in the making, but now that I have it I love it! I do all types of crafting from paper crafts, to vinyl projects, to epoxy tumblers, to signs and sewing. You name it, and if it is creative, I would love to give it a try. I would like to show you how too!
Three and a half years ago, I made a significant change in my life. I went from working full time to only working 3 days a week. This gave me time to rediscover my love of crafting. I have always loved sewing and crafting, but life gets crazy and when you are raising two wonderful boys and attending all of their events, who has time for hobbies. Now is my time, and I want to inspire people to craft even if you only have a small amount of time.
I love the Pacific Northwest. In fact, I was born and raised in the same small town that my husband and I raised our two great sons! The boys are now creating their own lives, and that is the reason why I finally have my own space to create and craft.
I love to make things and share with family and friends or donate my creations for an auction item to support our local charities. My problem is that I just like to make so much that I feel that I need a reason to make something. In the past I have sold items at holiday bazaars, and I had a great time talking to everyone and explaining how I made my crafts. That is really my passion!
I am hoping that you will join me on this journey. My blog is a work in progress. Inspiring you to create is my goal. I love to use up-cycled items to create. There are a few craft tools that are my favorite that I like to use. These include my sewing machine, my Cricut Maker, and my Heat Press.
I hope you will join me on this journey. Sharing with you my creations and showing you how to make them is my goal. I will also ask you for ideas of what you want to learn to make.
So until my next blog, I hope you all have a great day and get inspired to create something!
