As a new grandma, I love nothing more than looking at photos of my granddaughter. I used to keep them all on my phone, but now I like to display them around my house to see them all the time. There are many different ways to display photos, and it doesn’t have to be expensive. For example, you could create a collage of your favorite photos and frame them or get cheap photo frame and put them up on a wall. You could also make a scrapbook with your pictures or keep them in a photo box. However you choose to display your photos, it’s a great way to keep your favorite memories close at hand.

So, do you have some old photo frames you don’t know what to do with? In this video, I’ll show you how to make a fun and easy photo frame craft! This is perfect for any occasion and a great way to show off your favorite pictures. So grab some frames, and let’s get started!

The video tutorial is excellent for those who want to see the project come together, and the step-by-step instructions are perfect for those who want a more detailed look at each component. Either way, you’ll be able to create this project with ease! So what are you waiting for? Let’s get started!
Step One – Paint Frame
Start by painting the frames any color you like. You can use one or multiple colors. It’s up to you! Let the paint dry completely before moving on to the next step. I used Acrylic Spray paint to paint my frame white.

Step Two – Add String or Jute
Jute is strong and durable yet lightweight and easy to work with. Plus, it has a lovely rustic texture that adds visual interest to any frame. To get started, simply measure the length and width of your frame, then cut a piece of Jute to size.

Step Three – Add Background
Lay the glass from the picture frame back in the frame. Next, cut your scrapbook paper or fabric into a piece that will fit inside the frame and lay it on top of the glass.

Make sure to have the pretty side of the paper facing down; you don’t want your work to be visible from the front. Then grab the jute or string ends and tape them in place. Finally, add the back panel to the frame.

Step Four – Add Embellishments
Next, let’s dress up some mini clothes pins with some embellishments. I added some burlap daisies to mine, but you can use anything you have on hand.

Get creative! Once you’ve decorated your clothes pins, use them to clip together some photos, artwork, or whatever else you like.

These little clothespins are so cute and versatile. I used the extra daisies and glued them directly onto the frame’s glass to add a little more pizazz!

That’s it! A fun and easy project that you can make to display those special pictures. I just love mine, and it was perfect once I added my sweet granddaughter’s photo to the frame. Thanks for following along, and I hope you enjoy your new frame. Please let me know if you have any questions or need help. I’m always happy to help in any way I can. Until next time…Happy Crafting!
