Pebble Art
But, before we start, have you heard of Pebble Art? Pebble Art is a term given to the practice of creating decorative artwork using pebbles and stones. Pebble art can create various designs, from animals and scenes to abstract patterns. The best part about pebble art is that anyone can do it, regardless of skill level. In this blog post, I will show you how to create a Reindeer family, but you can make any family or theme. Once you have the technique down, your imagination only limits your design! Pebble art is a great way to add a personal touch to your home décor or give a unique and thoughtful gift. So grab some pebbles, and let’s get started!

Once you have your supplies, it’s time to start creating!
Step One – Craft Sticks
You can purchase crafts sticks already painted as I did or use them in any color you want. I like to cut my sticks to size based on my frame.
Painting the craft sticks red is a great way to start this project. It allows the paint to dry while working on the reindeer’s faces. I like to use a paintbrush to paint the sticks, but you could also use a sponge or your fingers. Whatever method you choose, make sure to paint the sticks evenly so they will be nice and red when they dry.
Step Two – Reindeer Faces
Now it is time to start to add the details of your reindeer faces. Use markers or paint to add eyes and noses. If you want, you can add other details, like mouths or eyebrows. Be creative and have fun!
Step Three – Reindeer Antlers
Twig antlers are the perfect way to add a personal touch to your reindeer family. And what could be more personal than using twigs from your backyard? Grab some twigs and lay them out above the pebbles to get started. Lay them out will help you determine which ones you want to use.
Step Four – Layout Design
Craft sticks are so much fun to work with! I like to begin by laying out my craft sticks like a picket fence. Once I have them the way I want, I glue them in place using my glue gun.
Next, I like to place the antlers where I want them and glue them down.
Next, it is time to add the pebbles or reindeer faces. I like to use a combination of super glue and glue from my glue gun to ensure they stay in place.
Once the pieces are in place, it is time to enjoy your new holiday decoration!
Reindeer are such a fun and festive addition to any holiday decor! I love that this Reindeer Pebble project is quick and easy to make and can be customized to fit any frame size. I think these would make great gifts for grandparents or other family members who appreciate handmade gifts. Or you could make several of these frames and give them as a set. Either way, whoever receives one of these Reindeer Photo Frames will love it! Thanks for following along, and I hope you enjoy Christmas in July!
